Explorer Tree - Report Actions
When a report has been selected in the Argos Explorer Tree, the actions that can be performed with that report are listed on the right side of the screen (grouped by user type). Users can also right-click on an object for a list of actions.
Change or modify the description of the Report - by clicking on the report description (under the name), you can modify it.
Report Viewer Actions
- Run Report or Run Dashboard - execute the selected report or dashboard.
- Run Saved - execute the report using data from a previously saved execution state. Click on these links to get more information on creating saved execution states through scheduling and managing saved execution states.
- Shortcut - Add a Shortcut for this report - add the report to "My Shortcut" or "Shared Shortcut" Shortcut tab.
Report Writer Actions
- Edit Report - Edit the details of this Report - create or edit a fully formatted report using the Banded Editor.
- Edit Data - Edit the raw object data (XML) that defines this Report - advanced users can directly change the raw XML that defines Argos objects. Note: Changes made in this mode cannot be undone via the Undo button.
- Delete - Delete this Report - move the report and all child schedules from the Argos Explorer Tree to the Trash Bin.
DataBlock Designer Actions
- Schedule - Schedule this report for execution / distribution - allows you to schedule a report to run at a certain time and date.
- Security - Edit the security settings for this Report - edit the object permissions for users and groups. For more information about Argos object security see the section on Managing Security.
Notes - add or view helpful notes about the report (ex: adding a note that states a certain day and time the report should be run). Click the green plus icon to add a new note.
